YUVA ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.

Information We Collect

Account identity — email address and identity information provided through Clerk sign-in
Birth details — date, time and its accuracy, the gender selected for chart calculation, birth place, coordinates and timezone, to calculate your chart
Usage data — AI chat messages, credit usage, session activity
Memory — context you save or allow YUVA to retain from conversations; you can review, edit, delete or disable Memory in Ask
Payment information — processed by Creem (we never store card numbers)

How We Use Your Data

To generate and display your Zi Wei Dou Shu birth chart
To authenticate your account through Clerk and map it to your YUVA profile
To track AI credit usage and subscription status
To process payments via Creem
To improve the app and fix bugs

Data Storage

Your YUVA business profile, saved birth data, account entitlements, and saved conversations are stored in a PostgreSQL database. Clerk owns customer login sessions; YUVA does not persist Clerk session tokens. Scoped payment and report-recovery tokens are stored as hashes where supported. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Third-Party Services

Clerk — account authentication and session management
Resend — product-transactional email delivery
Creem — payment processing
AI providers — OpenAI or Anthropic, or a configured compatible AI gateway, process the chart evidence and relevant conversation or enabled Memory context needed to answer. AI provider configuration can differ by feature.
Google Places — birth-place search and place details
Cloudflare — frontend hosting, routing and network protection
Statsig — product analytics, including account identifiers, entry attribution, page paths and bounded event metadata. YUVA's analytics events exclude birth details, Reading text, Ask messages and Memory content.
Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights — the legacy web client includes these integrations for page usage and performance measurements where their collection endpoints are available; Vercel is not our primary frontend host.

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Anonymous paid-report delivery emails may be retained for recovery and support, then redacted after the retention window. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing [email protected].

Data Choices

You can explore star archetype examples before signing in. Creating a personal chart preview or Reading requires sign-in; saved Charts, Readings, and Ask history belong to your account. New relationship Match creation is not currently available. To delete your account, saved charts, messages, or historical relationship profiles, email [email protected] from the email tied to your account.

Cookies & Sessions

Clerk manages the browser session used to keep you signed in. YUVA may use a separately scoped anonymous cookie for supported checkout recovery; it cannot authenticate a customer account. Browser storage also preserves drafts and journey state. Statsig is a third-party product analytics service; we do not describe this collection as advertising tracking.

Our staging environment can use Statsig session replay to check interactions and layout. It masks visible text and input values and does not record canvas contents or cross-origin frames. This replay feature is disabled in production. There is currently no in-app analytics opt-out setting; contact [email protected] for data-access or deletion requests.

Children's Privacy

YUVA is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy occasionally. Continued use of YUVA after changes means you accept the updated policy.
